Time Drill
5 Min Active Stretching
10 Min Alley Dodge with Pull Pass and Shot
  • Explain a pull pass across your body, moves the ball 1-2 seconds quicker
  • 3 Lines up top
  • First guy Dodges down the alley, hit a cone then pull passes to the center guy
  • center guy moves it to the 3rd guy for the outside shot
  • New guy goes, run to the line you pass to
  • Switch Sides
  • Variation: do top and bottom at the same time



10 Min Challenge: Weird Stuff: Shovel pass, b2b, flip pass, toe drag, swim dodge

15 Min Fumble Ground Ball Drill

This drill is a 2v2 that works on ball/man teamwork on ground balls, and helps offensive players to circle back or get to green space to make a quick pass to his teammate.

  • Start with two lines of guys in two different colors
  • Coach gently rolls out a ball and a 2v2 battle for the ball
  • As a player gains possession of the ball he is immediately jumped and double teamed by the two opposite players
  • This forces the ball carrier to run out of pressure through circling back or running to green space
  • The player then looks to pass to his teammate

  • Line up all one one side of the field, need about 20 yards wide and width of a field
  • Idea is for kids to get alot of repetition with ground balls
  • 3 types of ground ball work, kids go back and forth across the field
  1. Roll ball to self, double move escape (face dodge, roll, split dodge) go to sideline and then to start the other way
  2. Start with ground ball at feet, kick with foot, hockey with stick, double move escape
  3. roll ball out accelerate through it



10 Min Inside Finishing
  • For cutter set 7-8 yards above the goal
  • cut down the alley, towards your team mate
  • shallow cut, away from goal and avoid defender
  • pop cut, popping into space for a quick shot
  • Drill: set 3 cones in a triangle, to mimic 3 cuts and have 2 kids feeding
20 Min Butt to Butt (2v2 or 3v3) GB Rondo to Transition
  • Time the drill but don't end on the ground ball
  • Have goalie, 3 attack, 3 defense in goal
  • At the midline, send in 3 v 2 or 3 v 3 middies, pass the ball around in the middle with 4 consecutive passes, hit the coach with the ball, coach starts the transition into 6 v 5 or 6 v 6

  • Phase 2: pass down pick down, exchange, hit cutters, pull pass, etc
