Duke Transition Drill

Duke Transistion Drill
  • Works on quickly moving the ball quickly after the GB
  • Put two goalies in the cage
  • Two goals 40 yards apart, place 2 cones on the side line 10 yards apart
  • Have two groups of kids and decide if you want to play 2v2, 3v3, 4v4
  • Kids line up on the center cones, intermingling themselves
  • Coach rolls the ball and they release to fight for the ground ball, the next players line up and get ready
  • Whoever gets the ground ball, is on offense and they push in transition trying to score, if ball is shot or dropped the drill is over
  • The game continues and keeps score until time runs out or the score is reached
  • Rules:
