Time Drill
5 Min Reminders
  • Mental Toughness - Is the capacity of an athlete to do their job - i.e. to do the things they've trained to do no matter what's happening to them or around them.
  • Live in the moment and do not overly think the past.

  • 6 pop out on one side
10 Min Trigger Shooting Drill
  • Put guys on either side of the cage, 2 lines (1 high and one low)
  • The high guy passes to the low guy, waits until a coach defending them turns their head then drive to the cage to receive a pass and shot
10 Min Salisbury C-Cut Righty or Lefty Shot

  • Make two lines of players at the stars on the picture
  • Setup cones as pictured
  • Put a pile of balls by the top stars
  • A player picks up a ball, drives down the alley (1), pops out (2)
  • The other player at (3) clears through and curls back, receiving a pass at (4)
  • The player turns and shoots, and goes to the next line

Pick and Slip Shooting

Purpose of this drill is to get 2 inside crease guys working together to receive a feed from behind the goal

  • Need 3 guys for the drill, 1 guy is behind the cage to one side with a bunch of balls
  • The other 2 guys can be setup either high and away(1) or setup at the 5 and 5 on each side of the cage
  • The crease guy closest to the feeder runs in, sets a pick and the other guy runs outside the pick popping out
  • The pick guy slips toward the cage and looks to receive a pass (3)
  • Pick guy becomes the shooter, with the rotation



Goal hop half arc

  • One of line of defenders behind the goal
  • start on one side of the goal behind
  • Have a defender with no stick playing with another guy with a short stick
  • The short stick starts on one side of the goal and moves to the other side
  • The defender goal hops and engages his man a few feet behind GLE
  • When the offensive guy his 5 yards out, the defender closes the gate
  • Offensive guy does and inside roll and the defensive guy funnels him back to X


15 Min Hopkins Weak Side 2 v 2
  • 4 offensive players, 2 defensive players. Offensive players in a box
  • Defensive players setup in an I formation
  • Only 2 offensive players are in the drill the other two redirect and feed
  • Redirect the ball over the top or at x and when it redirects the defenders approach and play 2 v 2
  • Play on each side of the line (make it a crunch drill)
30 Min 6 on 6
  • Rotate middie lines at offense
  • Make sure we dump to 1 or 2 and redirect to the other side
  • Curl back and redirect to the weakside
  • 6's positioning on plays from the top
  • Run Plays
