3/5/2017 - Optional Shooting Practice Plan
10 Min - How to Practice Shooting
- Our goal is to work on accuracy not power
- Repetitions are important, do the same number of reps with the weak hand as the strong hand
- Concentrate on getting your stick high, front elbow up, turning your hips, and following through with back hip
- Snap the wrist for added accuracy
- Coaches will tell you many different techniques to shooting
- Accuracy first then move to power, much easier to learn to shoot faster when you have great techniques to build from
- Work on overhand, master it, then move to 3/4 or sidearm
- Switch Hands to keep stick away from the defender
20 Min - Rabil - 5-10 feet from GLE opposite corner shooting
20 Min - Olive - Down the Alley Shooting on the Run
20 Min - Arc Shooting on the Run
- Step Over especially with the weak hand, center your body
10 Min - Dodge Shooting Starting from X
