Time Drill
5 Min Active Stretching
  • 7 v 6 clears vs rides, double the ball, work on moving it properly
  • Over commitment on defense
  • How do we get the attack the ball?
  • Against older kids lift the stick when passing and shooting
  • Work on the new clear - far side chuck
  • Punching bag driving
  • Work on double and slides
10 Min 3 man weave
5 Min Water
15 Min Defensive Pushes

This drill teaches players how to properly position their feet when playing defense and how to push to funnel out with the top and bottom hands of the stick.

  • Demonstrate proper short stick and long stick defensive posture
  • Play with your feet don't over commit, contain
  • Demonstrate the Vcheck when the attacker is going towards your strong hand
  • Demonstrate the bottom hand push check when the attacker is going towards the week hand
  • Work on funneling your man out of the shooting zone
  • Have two lines and work 1 on 1 for each skill
