Time Drill
5 Min Active Stretching
  • Orange Ball Ground ball into X v X
10 Min Saint Drill - Two over the shoulder passes each time a player goes (go all right handed, then all left handed)

Start with 4 lines 15-20 yards on each side of the middle of the goal and top of the box Two Goalies in the middle of both lines balls start down low, passes to same side high, passes to the goalie, runs up field catches from goalie over the shoulder and then passes to the top left, top left passes down to bottom left

5 Min Partner one hand passing
  • 2.5 minutes per hand
  • One hand 2/3 way down stick, turn your shoulder, hand up high
  • Make a pass and throw back
10 Min Shell Drill - Coach Nat St. Laurent

Goal of Drill: The defense is working on their footwork and approach to the ball. You can incorporate your scouting reports into this drill and practice taking away what your opponents want to accomplish.

  • 5 v 4 or 5 v 5
  • two guys down low, guy on crease, two guys up top
  • Move the ball, defense adjusts and returns to the hole, always cover the crease
  • No shooting, if goalie he adjusts




10 Min Face Dodge to Rollback shooting
  • Demonstrate the alley dodge, face dodge, roll back shooting
  • Crow hop for 3 steps, 3 steps and roll back
  • Don't change hands, but keep in strong hand, and take some steps and carry for 2-3 steps, look for defender to over commit
  • Get back to your strong hand
  • Plant, pivot, open up, get to the middle of the field
  • 3 steps, drop and sync



10 Min General Drill 1v1

Goal of Drill: Work on backside pass approach into a 1v1

  • 3 Lines of Offense, 1 line of defense
  • Inside and outside squares of cones. The inside is in the hole, the outside is right near top of the box and behind cage
  • Defense passes to an offense guy, goes into the whole on the cone and approaches to try and force him down the alley

25 Min 3 V 3 or 2 V 2 Speed Lacrosse
