Time Drill
5 Min Circle Stretching & Active Stretching
15 Min Station 1: Defensive Drills

Footwork - Back Pedal Drop Step

  • Setup cones in a zig zag pattern about 5 yards apart
  • Player works on back pedaling and drop stepping to change direction
  • Start at 50% work on toe to heel transistion
  • Then go full speed


Stick's in an X shadow following

  • Two guys put their sticks together, one guy leads going left and right and the other guy follows

15 Min Station 2: Passing Drills
  • 3 person figure 8 passing
  • 2 man passing down field
  • Over the shoulder passing with goalies

  • 3 players
  • low, scoop through, protect stick
  • 1 person is ground ball, 2nd person builds bridge, for person to go under, 3rd person tries to stick check

15 Min Station 4: Dodging Drills

Kamikaze Drill - Split dodge drill https://youtu.be/e953HLWIX20

  • Short choppy steps, change speed and direction
  • run towards each other split dodge
  • use shoulders and hips
  • Sell it one way, come back the other way
  • Change to the other way (left to right, right to left)
  • Optional make 2 additional lines to pass and catch before and after split dodge


Hitch Dodge

  • Start in the alley about 10 yards from the goal
  • Players get in a single file line with balls at their feet
  • Player runs to the goal, light on the front foot, make a little fake shot/pass, and step around the defender on the stick side
  • When making the fake dont move the hands to much and make sure you continue to run towards the center of the field
  • Goal is to make the defender freeze and then step around him
