Time Drill
5 Min Active Stretching
  • Explain Format - 7 v 7 (2 attack, 2 middies, 2 defense, 1 goalie)
  • 4 v 4 on each end of the field
  • Penalties are 3 v 2 fast break
  • Goalie puts the ball into play after goal
  • No Long poles
10 Min Diamond Swing It
10 Min 4 on 4 Offense Walk through
  • New Offensive Set "Y Set"
  • New Offensive Set "D Set"
  • 53, 32, two attack trading spots
  • 6 pick and slip
  • Hand Signal
  • X guy always chasing shots
10 Min Double 32 and 51 Passing
  • 4 Lines - two up top in the y, 1 at x, 1 at the crease
  • ball starts on one top side, runs 32 passes to the switching attack
  • Other side run a 51 passing to the switching attack
  • Right line runs to the crease line, left line runs to the x line
10 Min Rides
  • After we score, 2 Middies drop back as "safety" middies and lock onto a middie if possible
  • The 2 attack get in an I formation, with 1 attack pressuring the goalie, the other going to the first defender
  • Have a fake offense and practice the ride
10 Min Defensive strategy
  • After we are scored on look to clear immediately
  • Setup in a sloughed in box
  • Got you left, got you right, Ball
  • Offense pass the ball around defense adjust
    • Offense gets in a Y, Diamond, and box defense reacts
10 Min Clears & Rides
  • Army - Kids name place ball down behind goal
  • Navy - If goalie saves, 4 man stack at mid line, if out of bounds, 3 guys stack and break
  • Catfish - 2 Sprint High, 2 out wide

15 Min 32, 51, 53, 35 shooting - Middies and Defense

21, 26, 16 shooting - Attack

15 Min 4 on 4 Defensive Emphasis
  • Normal Defense
  • 3 Man with 1 guy in the middle
