Minutes Drill Information
Before Practice Line Drills
10 min Distance Passing
  • Partner up, start 5 yards apart, on coaches whistle both players take a giant step backward.
10 min London Bridge Drill

  • 3 players
  • low, scoop through, protect stick
  • 1 person is ground ball, 2nd person builds bridge, for person to go under, 3rd person tries to stick check
20 min 4 on 3 fast breaks
  • Instruct kids on penalties and fast breaks
  • Show on whiteboard how we setup for fast breaks both offense and defense
  • Run fast breaks
5 min Water Break
50 minutes Coach Matt to take goalies from 1:40 to 2:30
10 min Dodges

Setup Cones in zig zag pattern

  • Face Dodge
  • Split Dodge
  • Roll Dodge
10 min Dodge Passing Drill
  • Set up two stations that will have three groups: attackers, defenders and pass receivers
  • A player makes a dodge on a defender and passes to the pass receiver


15 min Shooting Drill Slow Break

  • No goalie
  • 4 lines form box around goal
  • Top right person passes down to GLE lower person, that person cuts turns towards X and passes to bottom left
  • Top left runs to set pick and top right comes down and gets pass from bottom left and shoots.
  • Rotate lines to the left
15 min Individual Defense
  • Defensive Stance
  • Back Pedal
  • Lifting the stick
  • Funnel the man out
  • V-Check
  • 1 on 1s
5 min Water Break
20 min 3 on 2/2 on 1
  • Goalies return at 2:30
  • Run 3 on 2 one way, the guy starting with the ball, runs and queues in line for 2 on 1 on opposite side, other two offense play defense next time around.
