3 on 3 Add One Back Cut Drill

- 3 defenders and 4 offense
- 2 lines defenders on one side of GLE, 1 on the other. 3 lines of attack behind the goal, 1 line at the midline
- The drill begins with a ground ball or a pass, and we play 3v3 for 5 to 10 seconds. Then the coach might yell out, "add one," and the fourth offensive player enters the drill, usually from the back of the defenders.
- We play to a shot. On a shot or save, we immediately clear and then begin the drill again with new players.
- Alternative is to run from the top by switching the placement of the lines.

Patton Drill
Works on Ground Balls and unsettled situations
- Split kids into 2 teams
- The drill can be run with 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 players
- Put a team on each side of the box at the top of the box
- Put a goalie in net
- Roll a ball out and kids fight for the ball
- The winning team is on offense and gets another player added
- The GB losing team must play with a man down, creating an unsettled situation
- Players play until a goal or a clear

- Situations:
- 2 min left, down by 1
- 2 min left, keep in it the box
- End line Clear - 20/10
- Missions:
- Offensive: Pass Down - Pick Down, Aggressive drive to the cage, Off Ball Pick, Isolate the short stick defender, Create picks to force short stick vs attack
- Defensive: Heavy, 3-Man, Standard Def, Camel, Slide Early
